At the time that a meeting will be tenuous between the Erling Haaland clan and FC Barcelona, the first retreats to the meeting are positive.
A turning point may have taken place this Thursday in the Erling Haaland case. Indeed, the father of the player named Alfie Haaland and his son de él, the agent Mino Raiola, are arriving in Barcelona in the middle of the magazine for the meeting with Joan Laporta. Thus, any indication that Barça will decide to make a boost from the perspective of the local Norwegian striker courted by all of Europe, the Real Madrid or the Manchester City still at the same time as an award in the south of the traces. And according to the first echos published in the press, this meeting will be held in a restaurant ...
According to Sport, Laporta has now received an agreement from the Barcelona management to finalize the deal for Haaland. The returned chairman hopes to benefit from his good working relationship with Raiola, who may also place the top striker at Manchester City. Manager Josep Guardiola sees in Haaland the ideal successor to Sergio Agüero, who announced his retirement from the leader in the Premier League last Monday.
The same Agüero was immediately mentioned at Barcelona, although trainer Ronald Koeman would prefer Memphis Depay according to Mundo Deportivo. On Wednesday, however, the Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano came up with the story that Agüero is indeed on Barcelona’s list. The Argentine striker is said to be a serious option and talks between the two sides are said to have already started. However, due to the developments on Thursday, it remains to be seen whether a final agreement will be reached, now that Laporta seems to be aiming its arrows at Haaland.
Indeed, Fabrizio Romano indicates on his Twitter account that the meeting between Joan Laporta and Mino Raiola this Thursday early afternoon was positive. However, the Sky Sport journalist makes it clear that these were only the first contacts to discuss the FC Barcelona project. As a result, nothing would be done or even advanced, and Erling Haaland’s signing race should therefore continue over the next few weeks.
