Every 14 of Which is regarded as Valentine’s day African Methodist Episcopal Church worldwide celebrate Richard Allen because he was born on that day. Richard Allen was born on 14th Of February 1760 in Philadelphia.
On this day Bishop Hatcher AME Church celebrate his founder in a grand style by educating it’s members the history of Richard Allen and the importance the celebrate their founder on such an occasion.
This year’s celebration Mr John Ferguson was given the floor to tell the members a brief history about Richard Allen’s family life, how he gain his freedom from slavery and how the church came into being.
